The approval of a new corporate jet center at this city’s struggling airport might have been just another losing skirmish in the battle between Silicon Valley billionaires and middle-class neighborhoods worried about noise pollution. Instead, it is becoming the latest symbol for the rapidly growing gap between the region’s haves, with their private jets and untold wealth, and the have-nots, clinging to more modest lives in the dwindling number of communities they can afford.

Google, which is responsible for many of the jets that will use the new $82 million center, is helping bring badly needed cash to Mineta San Jose International Airport, just as the tech industry is creating jobs and wealth in Silicon Valley. But the tech boom is also sharpening and fueling a housing boom that is squeezing families out of many Silicon Valley communities.

New phone

Samsung introduces new phone

Samsung Electronics is the world leader in smartphone sales, besting Apple in many countries. Now Samsung of South Korea is stepping up its challenge to Apple, bringing the battle to its rival’s home turf.

The device has quirky software features, including Smart Scroll, in which the front camera detects when someone is looking at the phone, and scrolls the screen according to the angle the phone is tilted. The phone can also be controlled with hand gestures. Waving a hand down in front of the phone will scroll up on a Web page.

The Past

If I had a chance to go in the past, I would have go back and be with my grandpa. I miss him very much. He passed away about 5 years ago. I decided to choose him because he is my role model and I love him very much I would do anything to spend more time with him. He always use to be there for me. I would do anything with him when I have the chance.I would try to brig him back so I can be with him all the time. This is how I would spend my one time round trip.

Two types of music for google!

When it comes to the music industry, there are two Googles. And the difference between them leads to a complicated and fraught relationship.

One Google is represented by its suite of entertainment media services like YouTube and Google Play, which have licensing agreements with the major labels and music publishers, along with movie studios and other media companies.
The other side of Google is its mighty search engine, the road map to the Internet, which people use to find content of all kinds — some of it preferred by the entertainment industry, but a great deal of it not.

Being a Teacher

If I was a teacher, I would love to add a lacrosse team. Wood Ridge doesn't have an lacrosse team so I think many students would love to join and be a part of the team. The students would meet half way during lunch time to practice for 30 minutes. Every other day they would lift and every other day they will practice. It would be outside on the field. The students will show that they are learning a new sport and using their athleticism for their health.

Tech Article

Jim Balsillie, the former co-chief executive and co-chairman of BlackBerry, has sold all of his shares in the struggling company, a regulatory filing indicated on Thursday.
Mr. Balsillie’s arrival at what was then called Research in Motion in 1992 and his personal investment of $125,000 saved the company in its early days.

A filling with the Securities and Exchange Commission, dated Thursday, showed that Mr. Balsillie held no shares in the company as of the end of December.

Mr. Balsillie owned up to 33 percent of the company, now called BlackBerry, before it became publicly traded and he reported holding 5.1 percent of its shares in a previous filing.

My Weekend

This weekend was a blast! On Friday, my friend and I went sledding down our streets hill. We went down the hill standing up and we always fell. It was hysterical. Then, my friend and I got a whole bunch of kids on our block and had a huge snowball fight. It was so fun and funny. To wrap the day up, I watched movies and drank hot cocoa. On Saturday, I played indoor basketball with my friend and I got a new pair of shoes. At night, my friends and I all went bowling. It was a blast. My high score was a 150. Last on Sunday, I watched basketball, movies and just relaxed. I really enjoyed this weekend.

This is what I did this weekend. Click Here

These are the shoes I got this weekend.
